Lehman Brothers Holdings: more than $36 million worth of claims purchased by three buyers

Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 24 - Värde Investment Partners, LP bought two separate $15 million portions of Merrill Lynch Credit Products, LLC's two $25.4 million claims against Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., according to a pair of Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In addition, Waterstone Market Neutral Master Fund Ltd. bought a $4 million portion of Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch's $29.2 million claim against Lehman, and Merrill Lynch International bought Caja de Ahorros y M.P. Gipuzkoa y San Sebastián - Kutxa's approximately $2.2 million claim against Lehman, two other Monday court filings said.

New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
