Lehman creditors sell $125.39 million of claims in six transactions

Pittsburgh, Sept. 28 - Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. creditors sold a total of $125.39 million of claims against the company in six transactions, according to Tuesday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The claim sales included:

• Merrill Lynch International's purchase of a $4.74 million claim and a $4.75 million claim from Merrill Lynch Japan Securities Co. Ltd.;

• Merrill Lynch Credit Products, LLC's purchase of two $1.5 million claims from Stone Tower Credit Master Fund Ltd.;

• CBW LLC's purchase of a $3.2 million claim from Yorvik Partners LLP; and

• Citigroup Global Markets Inc.'s purchase of a $109.7 million claim from Citibank Espana, SA.

New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
