Serengeti buys $5.69 million of Goldman Sachs claims against Lehman

Pittsburgh, July 20 - Serengeti Overseas MM LP and Serengeti Partners LP bought a total of $5.69 million of Goldman Sachs Lender Partners LLC's claims against Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., according to Tuesday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Specifically, Serengeti Overseas bought a $1.39 million portion of a $2.68 million claim, a $1.34 million portion of a $2.68 million claim and a $1.48 million portion of a $2.96 million claim.
In addition, Serengeti Partners bought a $1.48 million portion of a $2.96 million claim.
New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
