Lehman Brothers reports $21.09 billion in cash, investments at Oct. 31

Pittsburgh, Nov. 22 - Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. had $21.088 billion in cash and investments as of Oct. 31, up from $20.278 billion at the end of September, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The October cash and investments figure included $668 million of loans, $223 million of derivatives and $167 million of private equity/principal investing.
New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
