King Street Capital buys $41.46 million of claims against Lehman

Pittsburgh, Jan. 8 - King Street Capital bought a total of $41.46 million of Barclays Bank plc and Banc of America Securities LLC's claims against Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc., according to Friday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, King Street Capital Master Fund Ltd. bought a $23.1 million claim from Barclays and a $5.03 million claim from Banc of America, and King Street Capital, LP bought a $1.61 million claim and a $9.62 million claim from Barclays and a $2.1 million claim from Banc of America.

New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
