Lehman Brothers to price principal-protected notes linked to Asian currency basket

Philadelphia, July 9 - Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. plans to price 100% principal-protected notes with enhanced participation due Jan. 30, 2009 linked to a basket of Asian currencies, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket includes equal weights (25%) of the performance against the U.S. dollar of the Indonesian rupiah, Indian rupee, Malaysian ringgit and the Singapore dollar.

At maturity, investors will receive par plus any positive return on the basket times a participation rate that will be set at pricing and expected to be 240%.

Investors will receive at least par.

The notes are expected to price July 26 and settle July 31.
