Lehman plans FX notes linked to four Asian currencies

Des Moines, Oct. 2 - Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. plans to price foreign exchange notes due Oct. 30, 2009 linked to an Asian currency basket, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The equally weighted basket consists of the spot exchange rates against the dollar of the Chinese renminbi, the Indonesian rupiah, the Indian rupee and the Philippine peso.

If the basket performance is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 220% of any gain on the basket. Investors will receive at least par.

The notes are expected to price on Oct. 26 and settle on Oct. 31.

Lehman Brothers Inc. will be the underwriter.
