Legacy Estate Group files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

Pittsburgh, Nov. 22 - Legacy Estate Group LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California.

According to court documents, Legacy, which does business as Freemark Abbey Winery, Byron Vineyard & Winery and Arrowood Vineyards & Winery, listed more than $100 million in assets and $50 million to $100 million in debt.

The company has no unsecured creditors with claims of $1 million or more.

Legacy is a St. Helena, Calif., subsidiary of Connaught Capital Partners LLC, which also filed for bankruptcy on Friday. Legacy's Chapter 11 case number is 05-14659.
