Cricket Communications redeems $184.17 million 9 3/8% notes due 2014

Cleveland, Dec. 20 - Leap Wireless International, Inc. said its operating subsidiary Cricket Communications, Inc. redeemed its $184,172,000 of 9 3/8% senior notes due Nov. 1, 2014.

The notes were redeemed on Dec. 20 at 104.688 plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

Wells Fargo Bank, NA is the redemption agent.

A cash tender offer to purchase the $1.1 billion of notes began on Nov. 4 and ended on Dec. 3. Cricket completed early settlement of the tender offer. As of 5 p.m. ET on Nov. 18, Cricket had received tenders for $915,828,000 of the notes.

As previously reported, holders received $1,050.63 per $1,000 principal amount, including a $20.00 consent fee, for notes tendered through Nov. 18.

Leap is a San Diego-based provider of digital wireless services.
