Leap Wireless obtains court approval for reorganization plan

Chicago, Aug. 5 - Leap Wireless International Inc. said it has received court approval for its disclosure statement and reorganization plan from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California.

Leap expects the plan to be approved at the confirmation hearing, which is scheduled to begin during the week of Sept. 25.

The reorganization plan is a more detailed version of the preliminary plan that the company filed with the bankruptcy court on April 14. The revised plan also reflects comments from creditors of Leap and subsidiary Cricket who reviewed prior versions of the plan that was filed with the bankruptcy court.
