LDK Solar: Cayman Islands court orders wind-up, appoints liquidators

Pittsburgh, April 7 – LDK Solar Co., Ltd. said the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands ordered that the company be wound up in accordance with the Companies Law (2013 Revision).

According to a company news release, the court also ordered that David Martin Griffin of FTI Consulting (Cayman) and John Howard Batchelor of FTI Consulting be appointed as LDK’s joint official liquidators.

The liquidators are authorized to take any actions necessary in connection with the liquidation of the company and the winding up of its affairs, the release said.

LDK Solar is a manufacturer of photovoltaic products and is based in Xinyu City, China.
