LDK Solar announces appointment of non-executive director Shi Chen

Pittsburgh, Nov. 15 - LDK Solar Co., Ltd. announced the appointment of Shi Chen to its board of directors as a non-executive director, according to a news release.

Chen is currently a director of Mountain China Resorts (Holdings) Ltd. and most recently served as the president of Caricom Ltd. from January 2002 to February 2013.

Chen obtained a bachelors degree and a master's degree in economics from Wuhan University. He obtained a doctorate degree in economics from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

LDK Solar is a manufacturer of photovoltaic products based in Xinyu City, China.
