Latam Airlines reports $22.98 million August loss from operations

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 5 – Latam Airlines Group, SA reported a $22.98 million loss from operations on $838.62 million total operating revenue for August, according to its monthly operating report filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In comparison, the company reported a $27.32 million profit from operations on $896.13 million total operating revenue for July.

The net loss for August was $200.52 million, compared to a net loss of $105.24 million in July.

The company reported $1.03 billion in cash and cash equivalents at the end of August, down from $1.11 billion at the end of July.

Latam Airlines is a Santiago, Chile-based airline. The company filed bankruptcy on May 25, 2020 under Chapter 11 case number 20-11254.
