Latam Airlines establishes record date for class 5 claims

Chicago, Sept. 6 – Latam Airlines Group, SA established Sept. 13 as the record date for new class A convertible notes and class C convertible notes, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The information is important for class 5 allowed general unsecured claims.

The record date will determine the identities of holders of general unsecured claims against Latam that are eligible to elect class 5a treatment or class 5b treatment under the plan (but not class 5c which has already been processed and closed).

Relevant holders of class 5 claims need to have or open an account capable of holding Chilean securities to receive new plan notes.

Latam Airlines is a Santiago, Chile-based airline. The company filed bankruptcy on May 25, 2020 under Chapter 11 case number 20-11254.
