Moody's rates La Porte I.S.D., Texas, bonds Aa3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa3 rating to La Porte Independent School District, Texas' $60 million of unlimited tax school house and refunding bonds, series 2008.

At the same time, Moody's said it affirmed the Aa3 rating on the district's outstanding general obligation debt, affecting a total of $173 million, including the current issue.

Sale of the series 2008 bonds is set for March 11.
