Moody’s reviews Laos for downgrade

Moody’s Investors Service said it placed the government of Laos’ B3 issuer ratings on review for downgrade.

“The decision to place the ratings on review for downgrade reflects rising external vulnerabilities and government liquidity risks related to financing stresses set against Laos’ weak external and fiscal buffers and challenging global financial conditions,” Moody’s said in a press release.
