LabCorp, Duke to offer new genomic tests

Tampa, Fla., June 13 - Laboratory Corp. of America Holdings and Duke University have partnered to offer new genomic tests and will create the "Duke-LabCorp Scholars in Genomic Medicine" program.

The new program will support research studies in specified clinical testing applications in genomic medicine, which are being identified, according to a news release.

The goal of the collaboration is to develop a commercial partnership that enables the translation of important genomic tests into clinical practice as rapidly as possible.

Burlington, N.C.-based LabCorp develops diagnostic technologies through genomic testing.
