New York, April 25 - Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd. said it raised RM 300 million of five-year Islamic medium-term notes.
The deal, increased from $250 million, will bear an annual profit rate of 4%.
Aseambankers Malaysia Bhd. and CIMB Investment Bank Bhd. were joint bookrunners for the deal, which was the first issue placed under the company's RM 500 million Islamic commercial paper and Islamic medium-term note programs.
Meanwhile Kepong said the deal was more than 14 times oversubscribed.
The issuer is a Malaysian multinational company involved in plantation, manufacturing, retailing and property development.
