K-Sea files $400 million shelf

Philadelphia, April 27 - K-Sea Transportation Partners LP filed a $400 million shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common units and debt securities. The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including repaying debt, working capital, capital expenditures or acquisitions.

K-Sea is an East Brunswick, N.J.-based provider of refined petroleum products marine transportation, and distribution and logistics services.
