Krispy Kreme prepays about $9.3 million of term debt

New York, June 4 - Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. prepaid $9.3 million of its term loan during the first quarter of fiscal 2008, according to a 10-Q filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission Monday.

Of the total, $4.3 million was from the proceeds of sales of property and equipment and $5 million was a discretionary prepayment.

Krispy Kreme is a Winston-Salem, N.C.-based branded specialty retailer of doughnuts.
