Moody's gives Krasnodar Ba1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an issuer rating of Ba1 (global scale, local currency) to the Krai of Krasnodar.

At the same time Moody's Interfax Rating Agency, which is majority-owned by Moody's, assigned an issuer rating of Aa1.ru to the Krai.

The outlook is stable.

The agency noted that the ratings are based on good budgetary performance supported by positive economic conditions, a prudent budget policy framework and a very low debt burden.

Also contributing positively to the ratings are the anticipated significant federal and private sector investments in the regional economy stemming from federal programs supporting the 2014 Olympic Winter Games and special economic zones created in the region, Moody's added.
