Moody's assigns Kraft notes Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 rating to Kraft Foods Inc.'s $2 billion of senior unsecured notes being offered.

Moody's said it also affirmed Kraft's Baa2 rating on its existing senior unsecured debt and its Prime-2 short term rating for commercial paper.

The outlook is stable.

The agency added that Kraft is selling the dollar denominated notes in two parts consisting of a long 10-year tranche and a long 30-year tranche.
