Malaysia's KPJ unit to issue RM 500 million commercial paper, MTNs

Madison, Wis., Nov. 12 - KPJ Healthcare Bhd. said its wholly owned subsidiary, Point Zone (M) Sdn. Bhd., plans to issue up to RM 500 million of Islamic commercial paper and medium-term notes.

Affin Investment Bank Bhd. is the adviser and lead arranger for the proposed notes.

Proceeds will be used to refinance KPJ's existing RM 250 million commercial paper and medium-term notes program, to finance capital expenditures related to expansion and for working capital.

KPJ is a Kuala Lumpur-based private health care provider with hospitals in Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
