Moody's gives Kouga A3.za

Moody's Investors Service said it has assigned a long-term national-scale issuer rating of A3.za with stable outlook to the Kouga Municipality in South Africa.

The agency said that the rating of Kouga reflects a moderately diverse and steadily growing local economic base.

The financial management and budget planning are sound but the debt burden of the municipality is currently higher than the average of similar sized municipalities, Moody's noted.
