S&P cuts Kosmos Energy

S&P said it lowered Kosmos Energy Ltd. to B from B+.

The outlook is negative.

The agency said it expects Kosmos Energy’s credit metrics to decline during the next two years given the recent drop in commodity prices.

“We have updated our estimates to reflect the recent reduction in our crude oil and natural gas price deck assumptions,” the agency said in a news release.

S&P also lowered the issue level ratings to B+ from BB-.
