Moody's rates Korea Railroad A3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A3 issuer rating to Korea Railroad Corp.

The outlook is positive, consistent with the outlook for South

The agency said the rating is underpinned by Korea Railroad's close integration with the government as the national body responsible for executing railway policy and the expectation of sustained government support to ensure its financial viability and operational soundness.

An upgrade or downgrade of South Korea's sovereign rating would trigger a similar action on the company's rating, S&P said.
