Moody's may upgrade four Korean corporates

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the A3 foreign-currency debt and issuer ratings of four Korean companies on review for upgrade. The companies are Korea Highway Corp., Korea Land Corp., Korea National Housing Corp. and Korea Railroad Corp.

The rating action follows Moody's decision to place the South Korean government's A3 ratings on review for upgrade, the agency said.

The companies on review for upgrade are government-related issuers and the ratings reflect the level of government support in a stress situation, Chris Park, a Moody's vice president and senior analyst, said about each of the companies in a written statement.
