S&P rates Korea Land program A+

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its A+ rating to Korea Land and Housing Corp.'s (foreign currency A+/stable/--; local currency AA-/stable/--) $1 billion global medium-term note program.

The company plans to issue senior unsecured notes under the program.

S&P said the ratings on Korea Land reflect its opinion that there is an "almost certain" likelihood that the government of the Republic of Korea (foreign currency A+/stable/A-1; local currency AA-/stable/A-1+) will provide Korea Land with timely and sufficient extraordinary support if it were to experience financial distress.
