S&P gives Korea Housing local currency A+/A-1

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its A/A-1 foreign currency and A+/A-1 local currency ratings to Korea Housing Finance Corp.

The outlooks on the long-term ratings are stable.

According to S&P, the ratings on Korea Housing are equalized with the ratings on the government of Korea (foreign currency rating A/stable/A-1; local currency rating A+/stable/A-1), reflecting its opinion that there is an "almost certain" likelihood that the Korean government would provide timely and sufficient extraordinary support to the company in the event of financial distress.
