S&P assigns Korea Housing notes AA

S&P said it assigned an AA long-term foreign-currency issue rating to Korea Housing Finance Corp.'s planned dollar-denominated senior unsecured social bonds.

“We equalize the issue rating on the proposed notes with the long-term issuer credit rating on KHFC (AA/stable/A-1+) because the notes will constitute direct, unconditional, unsubordinated, and unsecured obligations of the company,” S&P said in a statement.

KHFC intends to use the proceeds to help finance housing for low and middle-income earners in accordance with its sustainability financing framework.

The outlook is stable.
