Fitch rates Korea Gas notes A+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned A+ ratings to the senior unsecured notes issued by Korea Gas Corp. Co., Ltd., consisting of CHF 250 million notes due October 2016 and CHF 100 million notes due October 2019.

The notes were issued under the company's $3 billion guaranteed medium-term notes program, which was also assigned an A+ rating.

The proceeds will be used for the company's general corporate purposes.

The ratings are equalized with those of its parent, the Korean sovereign, based on the strong ties between the government and the company, Fitch said.
