Moody's rates Kogas notes A1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A1 rating to the proposed senior unsecured Australian dollar-denominated notes of Korea Gas Corp. and a provisional A1 rating to it's A$2 billion Australian Domestic Debt Issuance Program.

The outlook is stable.

"The A1 rating reflects the company's baseline credit assessment of Baa3, and the support that the Korean government (Aa3/stable) is likely to provide in a stressed situation," Moody's vice president and senior analyst Mic Kang said in a news release.
