Fitch rates Kogas bonds A+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an expected rating of A+ to Korea Gas Corp.'s (Kogas) proposed Japanese yen bonds.

The proceeds will be used to refinance existing debts and for general corporate purposes, including investing in overseas energy projects, Fitch said.

The ratings are equalized with those of its parent, the Korean sovereign, based on the strong ties between the government and the company, the agency said.
