Moody's gives Kogas notes Aa2

Moody's Investors Service said it gave an Aa2 rating to the planned senior unsecured dollar-denominated notes to be issued by Korea Gas Corp. (Kogas).

The notes will be issued under Kogas' $11 billion global medium-term note program, which the agency rates (P)Aa2.

Kogas plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including working capital, investments and the development of overseas gas exploration projects, capital spending and repayment of borrowings.

The outlook is stable.
