S&P: Korea Finance notes A

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an A senior long-term foreign-currency rating to the HK$460 million of notes due March 15, 2016 issued by Korea Finance Corp.

The coupon rate is 3.4%.

The ratings on Korea Finance reflect the company's critical policy role as Korea's primary public financial institution and integral link with the government of Korea, S&P said.

The ratings also reflect uncertainty regarding its financial and business risks, given its lack of a track record as a stand-alone entity, the agency said, and its future role.
