Kepco plans to issue $300 million bonds

New York, Aug. 31 - Korea Electric Power Corp. is planning to issue $300 million of bonds, according to a market source.

On April 20, Kepco priced $300 million of 30-year notes at 93 basis points over Treasuries.

The 5 1/8% notes priced at 98.434 to yield 5.329%.

The Seoul-based power company is a state-owned monopoly.
