Fitch: Korean security risk rating concern

Fitch Ratings said the recent missile tests conducted by North Korea could upset the regional security balance, further disrupt the six-party negotiations to resolve the nuclear dispute and thus affect South Korea's credit ratings.

The Republic of Korea's long-term foreign and local currency issuer default ratings (IDR) are A+ and AA, respectively, with a stable outlook. The short-term IDR is F1.

The agency said the security risk posed by North Korea is a critical factor in assessing South Korea's creditworthiness.
