Moody's opens representative office in South Korea

New York, April 19 - Moody's Investors Service said it opened a representative office in Seoul, South Korea to provide clients more access to the ratings agency as well as to help integration between Moody's and Korea Investors Service.

Korea Investors became an affiliate of Moody's in December 2001.

Soo Jung Kim will act as the representative director of operations in Korea.

She will be responsible for business development in Korea, providing technical assistance to Korea Investors Service and helping integrate Moody's and KIS.

She joined Moody's in 1999 as an associate analyst in structured finance in New York. In 2005, she transferred to Asia as vice president and senior analyst.

Prior to joining Moody's, Kim was a director with FT Asset Management in Seoul and an assistant Manager with LG Securities Co. in Seoul.
