New Issue: SK Battery America issues $500 million 4 7/8% green notes due 2027

Chicago, Jan. 25 – SK Battery America, Inc. issued $500 million of 4 7/8% guaranteed senior green notes due 2027 (Aa3), according to an offering document.

Kookmin Bank is guaranteeing the notes.

The bonds priced at 99.658.

BNP Paribas, Citigroup Global Markets Ltd., Credit Agricole CIB, HSBC Ltd., J.P. Morgan Securities plc, MUFG Securities Asia Ltd. and Standard Chartered Bank managed the sale.

Proceeds will be used for eligible green projects.

The issuer is a wholly owned subsidiary of SK Innovation Co., Ltd. The subsidiary is based in Commerce, Ga., and operates battery production plants in Georgia, supplying batteries to Volkswagen, Ford and other major automakers.
