Moody’s gives Kookmin Bank notes Aa3

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned an Aa3 senior unsecured debt rating to the planned $500 million of notes to be sold by Kookmin Bank under its $8 billion global medium-term note program.

“The assigned rating and stable outlook are in line with Kookmin Bank's foreign-currency long-term senior unsecured rating and outlook, and reflect the structure of the issuance,” Moody’s said in a press release.

The senior unsecured sustainability debt will finance loans falling under green or social eligible categories identified in Kookmin Bank's sustainable financing framework developed in September 2018. The outlook is stable.
