New Issue: Kodiak Oil & Gas raises C$9.8 million from oversubscribed private placement of stock

New York, Dec. 13 - Kodiak Oil & Gas Corp. settled its previously announced non-brokered private placement for C$9.8 million.

The company issued 7 million shares at C$1.40 each to institutional investors based in the United States and Canada.

The deal was first announced Dec. 5 as a C$8.4 million offering of up to 6 million shares at the same price.

Proceeds will be used for the company's 2006 exploration and drilling programs in the Green River Basin of Wyoming and the Williston Basin in eastern Montana and western North Dakota.

Based in Denver, Kodiak is an oil and natural gas exploration company.
