Moody's rates Knowles Electronics

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a B3 rating to Knowles Electronics' new $48 million senior secured term loan and affirmed all other credit ratings, including the company's senior implied rating of B3; senior secured credit facilities at B3; senior subordinated notes due 2009 at Caa2; and senior unsecured issuer rating at Caa1.

The outlook has been changed to stable from negative.

Moody's said its actions reflect Knowles' improved liquidity and financial profile as a result of the refinancing, and improved pricing and product outlook. The ratings continue to reflect the company's very high leverage, the need to invest capital for future growth, and the expectation that the operating environment will remain challenging.
