KLA-Tencor announces senior note offering; pricing expected Tuesday

Omaha, April 28 - KLA-Tencor Corp. announced an offering of senior notes on Monday, with pricing expected on Tuesday, a market source said.

The notes carry a change-of-control put of 101%.

Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc. is the bookrunner.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including strategic acquisitions and stock repurchase.

The semiconductor and microelectronics company is based in San Jose, Calif.
