Oregon voters submit ballots Tuesday on authorization to price $273.9 million G.O. bonds

Springdale, Ark., May 20 - Oregon was being watched for more than its presidential primaries on Tuesday, with $273.9 million in general obligation bonds up for election.
Voters will decide whether to approve the Redmond School District No. 2J's $110 million bonds to improve safety and update schools; the Chemeketa Community College's $92 million bonds for health-care, industrial and technology facilities; the Hood River County School District's $25.1 million bonds for new construction; Klamath Community College's $12.4 million bonds for new campus facilities; the city of Klamath Falls' $4 million bonds for a new police station; Lake Oswego's $20 million bonds to refinance property; the city of Coos Bay's $6.9 million bonds for a new fire station and equipment and the city of Scappoose's $3.5 million bonds for a rail crossing.
