Kintera shareholders seek meeting with board over CEO's performance

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 6 - A group of Kintera Corp. shareholders with a 5.1% stake in the company and led by BC Advisors continued to voice concern over the performance of the company's chairman and chief executive officer, Harry Gruber.

The shareholders requested contact from an independent director of the Kintera board in a letter as part of a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In addition, Becker and the other reporting persons object to Kintera's policy that "precludes any director except the chief executive officer from meeting with or speaking directly to shareholders," the letter stated.

Kintera is a San Diego-based content management software developer.
