Moody's: Kinross notes Baa3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa3 senior unsecured rating to Kinross Gold Corp.'s proposed senior unsecured notes.

The notes will be guaranteed by the subsidiaries guaranteeing the company's senior unsecured revolving credit facility.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect the diversity of the company's operations, Moody's said, and the strength of its growing reserve profile.

The ratings also consider the company's relatively low overall ore grades and its reliance to date on acquisition-led growth, Moody's said.
