S&P ups Kinetic Concepts

Standard & Poor's said it raised its corporate credit rating on Kinetic Concepts Inc. to BB from BB-, the senior secured credit facility to BB from BB- and the senior subordinated debt to B+ from B.

The outlook remains stable.

S&P said the upgrade reflects the continued successful expansion of Kinetic Concepts' narrowly focused business in vacuum assisted closure, the company's important patented therapy for hard-to-heal wounds, as well as the company's increasingly conservative financial policy.
