Moody’s reviews Kindred

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the ratings of Kindred Healthcare, Inc. under review with direction uncertain.

This follows the announcement that Kindred entered into an agreement to be acquired by Humana Inc., (A3 stable insurance financial strength rating) and private equity firms TPG Capital and Welsh Carson, Anderson & Stowe.

The transaction is valued at $4.1 billion, including the assumption or repayment of net debt.
