S&P assigns Kinder Morgan notes BBB

S&P said it assigned a BBB issue-level rating to Kinder Morgan Inc.'s planned senior unsecured notes due 2033 and 2052.

“Our BBB issuer credit rating on KMI and stable outlook are unchanged. We expect credit measures to remain in line with the rating and our base-case forecast, with adjusted debt to EBITDA of 4.3x-4.4x,” S&P said in a press release.

KMI intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for general corporate purposes, including to repay commercial paper and refinance upcoming debt maturities.
