New Issue: Kinder Morgan Energy prices $60.1 million direct placement of units

Knoxville, Tenn., Feb. 12 - Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP plans to conduct a $60.1 million direct offering of common units, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission Tuesday.

The company will sell 1.08 million units at $55.65 apiece.

Proceeds will be used to repay debt.

Kinder Morgan is a pipeline company based in Houston.
